Biolab & Great Plains Laboratory: November 2014: Roehampton.

Late 2014, a number of Friends of Chy Sawel and I attended a two day conference organised by the Biolab Medical Unit (London) in association with Great Plains Laboratory (Kansas) titled:

GUT FUNCTION, DYSBIOSIS AND MENTAL HEALTH

The conference covered the causes & prevention of Alzheimer’s Dementia, Integrative treatments for Multiple Sclerosis, Nutritional Assessments in Autism, ADHD, Behaviour and Learning and also New insights into the causes & Treatments of Schizophrenia. The speakers were inspirational and confirmed yet again with their research and experience that what we are proposing at the Chy-Sawel centre has solid science and evidence behind it.

We were very fortunate to have a meeting with Mark Howard, Managing Director, BIOLAB, Dr. William Shaw, Founder of Great Plain’s Laboratory and Scott Shaw after the Saturday conference when we explained how we as mothers were disillusioned with the treatments given to our loved ones within the mental health system as there was / is no recovery and want to see a more natural approach to treating sufferers. With the research and evidence they had done over the years we asked if there was any way they could help us to move our project forward.

While the medication has its place at times, it isn’t the answer and after the 60 / 70 years of psychiatric medication there is now much science out there to confirm that long term it can do more damage. Back in the mid 50’s/ 60’s there was a paradigm shift in treating the mentally ill when the medication was coming into its own and now I believe it is time for another paradigm shift to a more natural form of treatment particularly with all the latest scientific research with ‘Epigenetics’ and nutrition that is available. As we move forward we will keep you informed of our progress. We are planning a one day conference for later in the year and when we have more details we will circulate it via our web-site, Facebook etc. Fund raising is crucial to our success.

If you would like to support The Chy Sawel Project, we have a DONATION PAGE and / or if you would like to get more involved, we are open to any and all fundraising ideas that will help achieve our aim of opening The Chy Sawel Treatment Centre. Please help if you can.
